Wants to change data room permissions to share pitch deck via Decile.

@Woody Butler I want to change permissions to my internal data room so that I can share the pitch deck through decile. Currently, it gives this message when I share the link

I have not set this up and have not created a named list.

Hey! It looks like your data room permissions are set to restrict access to specific people (like a named list or a particular pipeline stage), which is why visitors are hitting that wall when they try to open the link.

Here's how to fix it:

Go to Files in the left nav and click into your data room (top-level folder)
Open the settings for that data room
Find the "Allow viewers" dropdown and change it to "Anyone with the link" so anyone can access it without needing to be on a list

Once that's set, the link you share should let people in directly without a permissions prompt. Give it a try and let us know if you're still running into issues!

Hi @Fehmida Kapadia , interesting, I see a different view on this data room, when I test in incognito. Were you able to find the setting and change it since posting this?

This is managed on the settings icon here, (although we've had some feedback this is too hidden, and we'll be addressing that in the coming days)

@Woody Butler I followed the directions provided by the AI to change settings. Just FYI, in the new version it is very hard to find the "settings". I had been searching for settings in the new version and could not find it. I switched to the older version where the settings is easy to locate and updated the visibility in settings.

If you can look into the newer version of the platform and make it easier to find the settings, it would be very helpful.
